Oklahoma Foundations
In March, 2006, The Journal Record listed the 18 largest foundations in the Oklahoma City area.
If we exclude foundations with a narrow focus (medical research, churches, etc.), we are left with two categories of foundations to approach for funding women's programs:

1. Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Run by Nancy Anthony. Assets in 2006 of $478 million though many earmarked for specific uses.
2. Inasmuch Foundation. Founded by Edith Kinney Gaylord. Run by Robert Ross. Assets in 2006 of $275 million.
3. Sarkey's Foundation. Run by Cheri Cartwright. Assets in 2006 of $101.
4. The Kerr Foundation. Run by Lou C (Mrs. Robert S) Kerr. Assets in 2006 of $26 million.

1. Ethics and Excellence In Journalism. Founded by Edith Kinney Gaylord. Run by Robert Ross. Assets in 2006 of $95 million. Funds projects to improve the quality and ethical standards of journalism in various media.
2. Kirkpatrick Foundation. Run by Susan McCalmont. Assets in 2006 of $33 million. Funds projects related to arts and culture, education, animal concerns, and conservation - primarily in Central Oklahoma.
3. American Fidelity Corporation Founders Fund, Inc. Founded by the Cameron Family. Run by Bill Cameron. Assets in 2006 of $4.6 million. Fund projects related to education, arts, health, and community services.
4. Oklahoma Bar Foundation. Run by Nancy Norsworthy. Assets in 2006 of $4 million. Funds projects related to law, citizenship education for Oklahoma school children, children's advocacy, programs helping abused and neglected children and more.
