Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA)

In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority became America's first Greek-letter organization established by Black college women. There are chapters in Altus, Ardmore, Edmond, Langston, Lawton, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Okmulgee, Stillwater, and Tulsa.

American Association of University Women/Oklahoma

AAUW has branches in Ada, Alva, Ardmore, Bartlesville, Chickasha, Duncan, Durant, Edmond, El Reno, Enid, Goodwell-Panhandle Area, Lawton-Fort Sill, Midwest city-Del City, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Ponca City, Seminole, South Oklahoma City-Moore, Stillwater, Tahlequah, Tulsa, and Weatherford.

The mission of Girl Scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Magic Empire Council has offices in Tulsa, Muskogee and Stillwater.

Girl Scouts Sooner Council

Sooner Council has its headquarters in Chickasha, Oklahoma .

Girl Scouts Tiak Council

Tiak Council serves girls in Atoka, Coal, Haskell, Hughes, Latimer, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Seminole
and the Northern third of Pushmataha County.

Girl Scouts of Red Lands Council

Red Lands Council serves a 15-county jurisdiction including Alfalfa, Blaine, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Lincoln, Logan, Kingfisher, Major, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie, Woods and Woodward counties.

Journal Record "Woman of the Year" Program

The Journal Record newspaper is an award-winning daily general business and legal newspaper that focuses on local business trends in both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa business communities. The newspaper sponsors a Woman of the Year banquet each September.

Leadership Oklahoma

This organization selects 50 Oklahoma leaders each year to participate in 10 issues-oriented sessions designed to create a dynamic network of future state leaders.

League of Women Voters of Oklahoma

League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma is a non-profit law firm serving low-income and elderly Oklahomans who have civil legal problems through offices throughout the state and attorneys assigned to every county in Oklahoma.

National Association of Women Business Owners (NE Oklahoma Chapter)

National Association of Women Business Owners is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women business owners across all industries .

National Association of Women Business Owners (Central Oklahoma)

While the NE Oklahoma Chapter is based in Tulsa, the Central Olkahoma Chapter is based in Oklahoma City.

National Education for Women's (N.E.W.) Leadership

N.E.W. Leadership educates and empowers undergraduate women from across Oklahoma to participate actively in politics and public service.  The program connects students to policy makers and community activists during 5 days of intensive classes and workshops.

National Women Law Students Association - Oklahoma City University Chapter

The National Women Law Students' Association OCU Chapter strives to address special concerns, both social and political, in a forum of women in law school, as well as in the legal profession.

Oklahoma Academy for State Goals

The Oklahoma Academy is a private, non-partisan membership organization that identifies critical issues facing Oklahoma’s future.  It sponsors and conducts research on critical issues then presents the information through the annual Town Hall conference for development of findings and recommendations.  Through its culturally and politically inclusive process, the Academy develops strategies to support the implementation of the recommendations.  The ideas don’t sit on shelves; the Academy “moves the ideas into action.”

Oklahoma Bar Association/Women in the Law Committee

The OBA’s Women In Law Committee is a forum for continuing legal education and camaraderie among the female members of the Oklahoma Bar Association. However, the issues presented at the annual conferences are not issues relevant solely to females. The Women In Law Committee holds regular committee meetings and an annual conference. This year’s conference is scheduled for October 28 in Tulsa.

Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse

OK Coalition is the professional membership organization of domestic violence and sexual assault service providers.  Services are available to the public and include training and education, resource library and clearinghouse, legal advocacy project, systems advocacy and referral to services during business hours. 

Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women

Created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1994, the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women acts as an advisory entity on equity issues relating to gender bias; monitors legislation to determine whether it is discriminatory toward one gender or the other; acts as a resource and a clearinghouse for research on issues related to women and gender bias; and makes recommendations concerning needed legislation or regulatory changes relating to equity and gender bias.

Oklahoma Home and Community Education Inc. (OHCE)

Local HCE groups are organized at the community or local level for the purpose of studying family and consumer sciences and putting into practice research-based methods for improving family life.

Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy

The Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy creates awareness, takes action and changes policy on behalf of children and youth.

Oklahoma Nurses Association

The Oklahoma Nurses Association is the professional organization for nurses in the state. Its mission is to serve the educational, informational, professional and advocacy needs of all nurses.

Oklahoma State University Women's Resource Center

W.R.C. is a nonpolitical information center for women that provides information that will help, empower, and inform women of all religions, political persuasions, beliefs, ages, colors and cultures.

Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization

The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization recognizes the contributions Oklahoma's daughters have made in defense of the nation. They maintain a network of women veterans and organizations in Oklahoma and keep women veterans abreast of changes in veteran benefits and other programs.

OSU offers a number of courses within the general topic area of Women's Studies each semester.

The Women's Outreach Center empowers women and the OU community by building bridges, educating, supporting and offering resources and services in a safe environment.

OU Women's Studies Program

Founded in 1976, the OU Women's Studies Program is the only degree-granting undergraduate program in Women's Studies in the state of Oklahoma.

Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc.'s Women's Business Center

Women's Business Center (WBC) is the result of a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration to assist rural Oklahoma's enterprising women wanting to explore the opportunities of starting a business or expanding and improving an existing business. It serves 21 rural counties in the southeastern quadrant of Oklahoma.

Spirits of Hope (formerly Oklahoma Native American Domestic Violence Coalition)

This coalition educates, unites and empowers tribal communities in Oklahoma to assure the safety of women and children within their jurisdictions.

The Pipeline Project (an Oklahoma women's campaign school)

Run by N.E.W. Leadership, the Pipeline Project is designed to provide women with tools they can use to step up their political and civic engagement including running for public office. 

University of Central Oklahoma Women's Studies

The Women’s Studies minor at the University of Central Oklahoma showcases the scholarship and creativity of women through a number of academic disciplines.

University of Tulsa Women'sStudies Program

TU’s women’s studies program offers interdisciplinary and cross-cultural courses that examine women’s lives, experiences, and works as well as gender relations, including masculinity studies.

YWCA Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma City YWCA operates numerous programs including a rape crisis center, a 24-hour hospital advocate service, the only shelter in Oklahoma City exclusively serving women and children who are the victims of family violence, a child care center, health and fitness programs and more.

YWCA Tulsa

The YWCA Tulsa strives to empower and unite women through programs ranging from helath and wellness, career counseling and child care to immigration and refugee programs.

YWCA Enid

Services provided by the YWCA Enid include a crisis center, court advocacy, a children's learning center, a halfway house and parenting education.
